Eye Candy Pearl Spotlight: Rainbow Colored Souffle Baroque Pearls

Soufflé pearls are large fluffy, cloud like pearls, that often display sharp metallic luster and a wide range of colors.

These are one of those pearls that either sings to you, or doesn’t — not many people on the fence about Soufflé pearls.

Notoriously difficult to photograph under the harsh display lights of the trade show, Alana did a great job capturing the myriad of overtones and orient visible in these pearls.

What are Baroque Pearls?

One of the most prevalent pearl shapes, baroque pearls account for nearly 40-50% of any pearl harvest.

Baroque pearls can be symmetrical or totally free-form, with unique, uneven forms that can resemble barrels, off-rounds, tops, drops and more. Variety is the name of the game with Baroque pearls.

Baroques can be circled with shallow to deep rings running around the circumference of the pearl – these are called “Circled Pearls” or “Circles of Love”.

Baroque pearl necklaces are the least expensive pearl shape to purchase, with savings running from 50-80% below premium Round pearl necklaces of the same pearl type.

These stunning South Sea pearls are a stunning tribute to nature. Their organic baroque shapes give them a beautiful “from the sea” appearance and makes them a true one-of-a-kind work of art.

Each pearl has spent 2-4 years growing in the warm tropical waters of Australia and the Philippine Islands. Once harvested each pearl was carefully sorted and processed, with only a gentle cleaning and tumble in walnut shells. These pearls have not received any color enhancement or heat treatment.

This strand is a White South Sea, with a cool white body colors with strong silver-blue and rose overtones. The pearls have very high luster and some light blemishes. All of our strands are hand-knotted between each pearl for security. The pearls are strung with 100% silk thread, and finished with a 14K white or yellow gold clasp.
