Dakota Stones Labradorite: A Fan Favorite!
Labradorite is remarkable for the way its aggregate layers refract light, creating iridescent flashes of blue, gold, pale green or copper red. This effect is known as “labradorescence,” taking its name from the stone. Labradorite is usually gray to green, dark gray, light gray or black. “Discovered” in Labrador, Canada in 1770 and named for the area, it has also been referenced as a highly revered stone in much older Inuit tribal legends. Metaphysical attributes include protection & strength.
We have many different grades, shapes and colors of labradorite in stock and, since it’s one of our favorite stones, we are always getting in new and special strands. Below are some of the different kinds of labradorite we typically carry.
